HOW TO SEND YOUR SUBMISSION

Send your submission and metadata to Pure UnCutz by following the instructions below:

What is Metadata?

Metadata (for our intended purposes), is defined as the data providing information about one or more aspects of your song or submission; it is used to summarize basic information about your songs which can make uploading and working with your music easier. Some examples include the Length of the song. Beats per minute. Co-writer info and song-splits, and song descriptions.

Step 1: Organize Your Submission

Getting your files ready to submit to our team requires a small amount of organization on your end. We have outlined the steps you need to take below:

  • Create a folder on your device or machine for your Pure UnCutz submission.

  • Include your approved songs in the folder. Each song within the folder should have its own folder including the following: (a.) The final mix of the song (b.) Your Protools session file w/ STEMS for that song and accompanying audio folder (c.) The Protools session file underscore w/STEMS (d.) A folder just containing the STEMS of your Final Mix.

  • Include your “Split Sheet” for each song within this folder as well.

    Step 3: Song Titling Conventions

To make it efficient for our engineers and administrative team to upload your music, we need to make sure your audio titles, song titles, and metadata are succinct:

  • Title each final mix stereo file with “Song title” and BPM. (For Example, LikeAPump-89BPM.wav)

  • Title each final mix Protools Session File (and folder) with “Song title” and Destination. For Example, LikeAPump-Final Mix.

  • Title your STEMS using descriptive words that relate to the sound or track. For Example, Kick_Drum.wav, or Lead_Rap_Verse.wav.

GUIDELINES FOR CREATING A METADATA DOC

Once you have your music organized in folders, and all of your files titled properly, you can create your metadata document.

Note: Metadata documents need to be in Excel and saved in either .csv or .xlx format. If you need a metadata template, please reach out to jesse@pureuncutz.com.

Below is your Submission checklist:

  • Music Folder with all of your audio listed in the section (Organize Your Submission).

  • Metadata document with all song titles, and song descriptions. Please contact support if you have any questions about the process.

  • Split-sheet or contract with names of writers/composers, and writer-share for each song.

Please submit the above items to musicsubmissions@pureuncutz.com.

Check with us directly before sending these. If we cannot verify all steps are completed we cannot accept the submission. Please follow these guidelines in preparing your metadata. These guidelines help make the work more efficient and reduce the possibility of misunderstandings about what is to be included in your submission.
