What are Song Lyrics?

Song Lyrics are words that make up a song usually consisting of verses and choruses. The writer of song lyrics is a lyricist or song writer. The meaning of song lyrics can either be explicit or implicit. Some song lyrics are abstract, almost unintelligible, and, in such cases, their explication emphasizes form, articulation, meter, and symmetry of expression. Rappers can also create lyrics (often with a variation of rhyming words) that are meant to be spoken rhythmically rather than sung.

Step 1: Organize Your Songs Lyrics

To get your song lyrics ready to submit to our team requires a small amount of organization on your end. We have outlined the steps you need to take below:

  • Create a folder on your device or machine for your Pure UnCutz submission.

  • Create a folder within your main Pure UnCutz folder titled “Song Lyrics”.

    Step 2: Song Lyric Document Titling

    To make it efficient for our meta-data team to upload your song lyrics, we need to make sure your song lyric documents are titled and formatted properly:

  • Title each document with “Song Title” then hyphen “Lyrics” in Microsoft Word. (For Example: Waiting For This Life-Lyrics.doc.)

  • Next save the Song Lyric doc in your Song Lyric folder within your main Pure UnCutz folder.

GUIDELINES FOR CREATING A SONG LYRIC DOC

The instructions below outline how to structure your song lyrics document in Word.

  • Your song lyric document should include the “Title” of the song indented on the top left of the page.

  • Below the title of the song, include “Written by” and then type the name of the songwriters.

  • The following section of the document will be the body of song. Title the next sections in the order of your song arrangement. (For example: Verse 1) followed by the lyrics for that section of the song.

  • Repeat the first 3 steps for the remainder of the song lyric document.

  • Create folder for song lyrics.

  • Type your song lyrics using the format described in “Guidelines for Creating A Song Lyric Doc”.

  • Include all song lyrics documents for your submission in your song lyrics folder.

  • Submit song lyrics to admin@pureuncutz.com, or upload below.
